Looking for good Cornsnakes

Stephie Jun 20, 2004 11:27 AM

Hi, I am interested in getting my first cornsnake, but I live in Montana, so corn snakes are not very relevent here. I was looking for someone willing to ship a cornsnake out here, but I wasn't sure who would have the best cornsnakes around. I am willing to pay a good price but not an extreme price. If anyone could suggest a breeder that is willing to ship, I would be greatfull. Also, I have a 20 gallon aquarium cage, but it doesn't have a top, could anyone suggest how to build a snake proof cage top for the aquaruim? Thanks a bunch... Stephanie

I dont have any corns available right now (they should hatch any time though). For a cage lid you can look at some sites that sell cages. or you can get mesh wire and some plastic on that fits as a support for the lid. But youll have to duck tape it. I would just buy a new lid.

It depends what you are looking for as far as color morph. I would try the links at the top. (South Mountain, CornUtopia) Both of these breeders have some excellent snakes. I personally purchased quite a few snakes from Don at South Mountain, and couldn't be happier with the quality. Both of these breeders have alot to choose from and a nice selection. Just about anyone you see advertising on the classifieds will ship. I also noticed that draybar has some nice little ones for sale on the classified. He is a regular here and has some really gorgeous snakes. Good luck with finding what you are looking for.
As far as a lid, you can purchase a screen top and clips at a local pet store that will fit your aquarium. You will also need some type of heat, substrate, water bowl, and hides.
Good luck!!
