but great. My 3 1/2' black racer layed one egg and is in the process of laying about 4 more. I had to desturb her because I did not know she was gravid and was not expecting egs. I had no nesting box. Only papertowels and those were in the opposite corner of the thing I'm keeping her in. She layed one on he bare plastic so I had to get it and put it in some vermiculite. I had no more moss and only a bit of vermiculite(they don't sell it in my area anymore) so I went and got some grass cuttings and mositened it a lil and put the snake on top of it. I realy hated to desturb her but I moved her slowly and gentle like. I will post pics when she lays them all and they harden.

Something else unexpected.. The female died before laying all the eggs. I think I my have stressed her to much wen I put the grass in side with her. She layed 2 of the five. I had to cut here open when she was dead and gently massage the other three out. The nly one that looks bad is the first one she popped out this mornign. I think it might survive. not sure. I'll pob. post pics tomarrow somtime.

lol you are really bad with gravid snakes. First the ringneck dies when it is done laying the eggs, then the racer dies before laying all the eggs. lol man you suck.

Well, I think i is because I was not ready for them. I have never had problems like I have had this year. My other racer (smaller than the other), I think may be gravid. It sure looks fat. I have not fed it in about6 days and today is the feeding day. I am ready for this one whether it is gravid or not. I have a nest box, a good enclosure and stress free environment. I'll get ready after it sheds. It has been about a month since it shed. Yes I know I suck at gravid snakes.
