Breeding Budgetts Frogs

masterminG Jun 20, 2004 12:34 PM

Can anyone help me on information about sexing and breeding budgett frogs. I'm curious to know how many eggs do they have, when will they reach sexual maturity, and and are they canaballistic like pacmans. Thanks guys.

Havn't bred them yet but breeding should be like a horned frogs. They are highly cannibalistic. I can check in some literature for the amount of eggs (unless Ed knows). I know the tadpoles do develop very quickly. In the dry plains they come from, puddles don't last long. They apparently reach froglet size by about 2 weeks of age.

And the sign says "No long hair freaky people need not apply." So I put my hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why. He said you look like a fine outstanding young man I think you'll do. So I took off my hat I said "Imagine that Huh Me working for you."-Tesla

Nope I know very little about this frog other than the broad generalities.

Cool! Thanks guys. I'm thinking about breeding Horned Frogs too. Maybe Surinames. Would they be the same as PacMans as well?

I have 7 budgetts. I was also looking on info on sexing budgetts to, but it doesn't exist. I had no clue until about a month ago until my smaller budgetts developed black pads on the inside fingers, just like pacmans. If you're gonna try to breed pacmans start with ornates or greens, surinames are harder to keep and I haven't seen any cb for sale.
