Floating AFC?

melisondra Jun 20, 2004 02:04 PM

I have noticed some weird behavior from one of my albino CF's. For the past month or so one of his hind legs seems to "float". Before it was every now and then, and usually after feeding. So I thought he had an air bubble or something. But now it seems like its almost all the time.
His front half stays normal but it looks like someone tied an invisible balloon to his back right leg. Any ideas what is causing this? He is in a gallon and a half plastic aquarium and about 6(?) months old now im guessing. I feed them frog bites and blood worms. And the occasional small cricket.

Any info is appreciated thanks!!

Most importantly these guys need at least 10 gallons of water per frog.. u can house two or 3 males in a 20 gallon tank.. one or 2 females in a 20 gallon tank..

sounds like he may have some sort of bouyancy issue..

My group clawed frog corner has several biologists and veternarians in the group that maybe be able to give their thoughts on this subject.. please go there for their help..
