thats a hefty price for a conda. Whats the difference between granite condas and normal?? I personally can't see a difference. Anyway I think I might pick up a conda from the hagerstown show this saturday, hopefully they dont have all granites haha.

I dont know if you have ever seen them in person at a show or if you have seen marks classified on ks where he shows one next to a normal but if you look at them in person or along side a normal yellow the difference is pretty clear. A normal has big spots and a pattern like any anaconda but the granites (more so in the male) are much smaller spots thrown all over the snake. I have been eyeing these snakes for a long time now and it is something truely unique. I talked to mark about it and he told me the whole project started with just a yellow that looked really different and after years of breeding it was something he was able to prove out as genetic. So the price is part due to that mark petros is the only one who has produced them and the fact that they came from years of work. personally, i think if you look around at prices for other snakes where someone is the first to have something like it...you pay much much more. I got them more just to have them instead of breeding plans, I like anacondas a lot and mark petros is a good guy who produces some great animals. Being around this business for a little while you see a lot of really shady things going on...there was almost a full out brawl today at the streamwood show...mark makes this who disigner snake hobby look good and does not post junk like 66% possible double het for crazy ball python that sings and dances and has a spot on its head. not only is it cool to have a pair of anacondas that are very unique but i have granite anacondas produced by mark petros. i plan on doing more business with him soon and if anyone else wants mark petros anacondas you should act pretty quick, he is getting out yellow anaconda breeding after about 10 years and he has the best looking ones i have seen. thanks mark for selling these 2 to me (my stomach settled soon after i carried them off) and i cannot wait for my ball python.
