for those of you who have kept male and female tegus. have you noticed a difference in how fast one or the other grows? i purchased a male and a female from Bert at Agama in March. the male was 18inches, and the female was around 16-17inches. i just measured her and she is 35inches, no joke. and when tegus are growing very fast they normally still have a nice rounded tail but are very lean. She is NOT. she has got a big gut and huge fat tail for her size and age. my male is around 30-31inches but like i said has a nice rounded tail but is lean. she is a monster when eating, she just got through eating 1 Sm.rat, 1adult mouse, and 8 hissing roaches. and she eats like this without fail. my male eats about 20hissers a day and 1-2 adult mice.(he LOVES his roaches). this is my first female tegu, and was wondering if females just grow faster than males or my little girl is just a hulk.
