does shedding normally take this long?

shortydsm Jun 19, 2003 07:25 PM

My ig shed his face twice in a month, and it is taking him about that long to shed his whole body in sections. I was wondering if this was normal? Since he shed his face twice within 4 wks, could that be sign of a growth spurt? He is about 4 yrs old & about 3.5 feet long, but he seems to have gotten bigger since I adopted him in March, I want him to get huge!

I adopted mine last September and she was not shedding
at that time. She started in October and has been in
constant shed for 9 months. In that time she has grown
7" and went from 1 lb to 2.2 lbs. She is gravid now
however so she stopped shedding and this could be the cause
of part of the weight gain.

Hope this helps.
