It may have injured it. Can you post a pic? At this point I really have no idea; I wouldn't panic though (or take it to a vet, unless very qualified for treating reptiles). Please post a pic, if you get a chance.

Hi Ashton.

Here are some pics of its eyes. You can see one of the eyes looks fine, but the other looks blue/cloudy. I don't know if it hatched this way or not. I noticed it a few hours or so after I put him/her in plastic container.

It seems to be behaving fine. But what Im wondering is, if it is blind in that eye, how will it affect its hunting? Won't its depth perception will be inaccurate?

I think it somehow hurt it, cuz it was swollen yesterday and today its went down alot. Would a boo boo make its eye go grey? Will it regain eye site?

Sorry about all the ?'s but out of all the ppl I have came across, you deffinately know your stuff. So I figure you're the best person to ask

Thank you Ashton, I truly appreciate your help

Yeah.. I think it might of been tramma. He is very active, more so then Boing. He is constantly jumping from one thing to another. And gosh thats gotta hurt cuz sometimes he doesnt land, he crashes lol. But the swelling looks like its gone down alot. Do you think he is blind in that eye due to tramma? Is it possible he just somehow hurt it and its not blind and eventually his eye will be fine? Like maybe a bruise? (sorry for the stupid questions, Im just grasping for straws I guess..

It doesn't really matter as long as he makes it. I am going to keep him cuz he's "special"

Just wish I had some deffinate answers as to what happened..

I will keep you updated on his progress, cross your fingers & hope for the best

It looks as though it may be from a premature hatching (low ocular pressure), parasite, injury etc; but I really don't know for certain. I do know that there is virtually nothing you can do to change the situation immediately. Chances are the gecko will be permanently blind in that eye, but hunting and shedding should not be a problem (I have a female tokay with a collapsed/weak iris that feeds perfectly). If it is a worm, it is possible for it to move to the brain and kill the gecko (usually after a series of seizures). Definitely keep the gecko separate from the others and reduce its exposure to direct sunlight or UVB rays. I would not take it to a vet either (the gecko is too delicate at its age). Just monitor the little guy discreetly while it feeds and check on the eye's "progress" atleast a couple times a day. There is a possibility he could, but he mostlikely will. There is also the possibility it could clear up, which is quite possible. The parasite could have come from the mother, incubation medium, a contaminated water source or numerous other things Just wait it out and try not to worry too much, things will probably work out okay for him/her. Give us a check up. If it gets worse, post again. About the crickets, buy them at a younger age/smaller size. You will feed more of them and they will give you more time to feed them all before producing wings. If you can, keep them in a garage etc...just a thought. Questions are the enemies of problems. Is the animal in question O Monillis? That is what it looks like to me. I have had 2 hatch out with BIG eye problems. One eye is always swollen to a huge extent while the other is normal. One escaped never to be seen again and the other is growing up just fine except for the BIG eye. It varies in extent and appears to "drain" on occasion, the eye is clearly blind. Other hatchlings are normal.

My research has led me to surmise it is a birth defect where the tear duct (connection from eye to mouth) is absent, causing a build up of fluid in the eye. Not anything that is correctable.

On the down side it is an unappealing animal to look at, the up side is that it seems to be otherwise healthy.
