Check out some of the longer trails in Everglades National forest, particularly the ones near Flamingo. Lots of snakes, pygmy rattlers especially.

Good luck!

Depends on what you want to find. If you are looking for Cornsnakes & Scarlet Kings, go out to the Redlands area. Walk canal banks, look for trash piles,(it's outside Miami so the trash is plentiful). If you want to see Yellow/Everglades rats, the same area is good, but more can be found north off of Krome ave and west on Tamiami Trail. If you want water snakes, cottonmouths, garters and ribbons....Tamiami Trail. If you want Kingsnakes, walk the canal banks in west Homestead and you might be lucky enough to find a "brooksi" Use to be common to see Drymarchon down off Card Sound Rd in So. Fla. City. If you want to see basic Fl Kings, go north to Broward/Palm Bch Counties and walk the canal banks of the cane fields. Be warned, the Sugar Cane companies will not give you permission to hunt and will have you arrested for trespassing. Above all, make sure you are permitted by the Fla Game Commission. They will see you, and will ask for your permits. Hope that helps.
Good luck and happy herpin'.
Bob
