Reptile gardens is what got me interested in keeping crocs. I lived two hours away from Rapid when I was growing up. I Damn near lived in the Garden for a few summers.
It has been 15 years since I've been back there. I have kids of my own now, and they have grown up listening to me tell stories about the place. Is it still the same?
I live in Kansas now, so it's not as easy to get there as it used to be. We tried to go last year but we pulled into the parking lot the day after you closed for the season.
I'm hoping we will be able to travel this summer. I still want to share the Garden with my kids someday.
If any one here ever goes into South Dakota, you HAVE TO stop at the garden. It's the best part of the whole state.
