another thing about my granite purchase. it is very important to me to buy from a respected person with a good reputation. I worked hard to get my green where she is today and i honestly cant tell you her background. I am happy that she is pretty but that was the last thing i cared about when i purchased her. there were some very very nice greens at the show today that came from serpent safari and i could have picked them up for a pretty good price. serpent safari has a pretty good reputation and i was told the babies they had were eating ft mice...i was shocked. the guy selling said he had about 25 back at home not eating and he has never tried chicks...but he will now. he will now because after the many things i told him i learned from kelly haller about spur sexing and anacondas like beniensis that i could never find in writing (i looked for months aver the internet and in libraries on top of calling herp societies to see what they knew about beniensis, barbouri, and descauenseii...and i got very little information). after being on here and talking to kelly i was able to tell people who have kept anacondas much longer than me some things they had no clue about. this is why when i do decide to get another green i am going to call kelly haller. no question...greens come from kelly haller and yellows come from mark petros (until he retires from notaeus)...i have talked to them more than anyone and asked more advanced questions i have gotten answered for from them...it would be disrespectfull to buy from anyone else

I agree with all your points but the last. Your money has no affiliation other than to the united states of america treasury. I don't think it would be disrespectful to buy from another breeder. But I do understand devotion and superiority of product. So I fully understand your limiting of possible breeders to buy from.

A lot of people spend a lot of time helping people and building a good reputaion and it should pay off by people spending money in their favor and throwing more business that way...a lot of cut throat people get rich but skrewing other people over and having terrible business techniques but it wont pay off and it does not help anybody but themself at the moment. I could not tell you how to get ahold of the guy I got my green anaconda from. If he was like Kelly or Mark he would still be selling anacondas. I am on here all the time making posts and there could have been a lot of great ones since I am very happy with my snake and extremely happy with the look of my anaconda...she is the best one myself and many people have seen. But nobody is going to know where I got it because someone cant return a few phone calls on feeding trouble. I did not get my snake from Kelly but he has helped me a lot and I have passed on information he has told me to a lot of people and helped them. Hopefully this is helping my reputation and people will trust my word on anacondas and buy my snakes because of it. I am sure it does not help with all of me and Ariks posts about taking shots after every successfull feeding..but its all in good anaconda fun...we work hard, we play hard.

Disrespctful....I wouldnt recomend buying from anyone else. The breeders that were listed (Kelly and Mark) are great breeders. Sure you can go to someone else and save alot of money, but do you think that you would get the quality of reptiles that these two men produce???NO. We in this forum praise and promote educated and responsible breeders. We dont encourage anyone to go to there local swap meat and buy a anaconda for $50-$100 or what ever, from a guy that cant even tell you if they are CB or WC. Hundreds of young WC or birthed from a reasent WC female are traveling around shows being sold by Billy Bob's. The major part of these snakes wont live that long because of inproper care from yahoo pet dealers. None of these yahoos care about the outcome of the snakes they sell, so now who really is out for the buck??? I think it would be disrespectful to the anaconda species to buy from any one else than a top notch breeder.
