Update on the post below in regards to the W/C BCI from Puerto Rico...more

Hoppy Jun 21, 2004 07:09 AM

I e-mailed the poster of the ad that stated “wild caught Boas in Puerto Rico” and asked him about them, seeing the picture was a Boa Constrictor Imp. He did respond saying that the Boas were from the Mayaguez zoo and that he had traded for them. He stated that he had all the paper work on them for the export. They did respond to my question very quickly, but I still don’t know why they were advertised as W/C in Puerto Rico? But I thought I would let you guys know.
thanks

He could have said that he was confused and meant Costa Rica instead of Puerto Rico, at least that would have been a little more of an understandable excuse for such a misrepresentation!!

The Mayaguez Zoo,is the only large-scale Zoo in Puerto Rico,it's a 45 acre Tropical attraction.Mayaguez is a City with a pop.of 125,000.I think the only logical explanation would be the Zoo had W.C. that they got from mainland South America, and then sold as W.C., and maybe some confusion of the Local on the buyer's part.Thank's for the info.
