introducing madam helga turtlehead

jeune18 Jun 21, 2004 12:10 PM

well i call her helga but my sister added the turtlehead part and i thought she needed a title. the feet are red because she was walking through her raspberry. i gave her one to see if she liked it. i don't think she knew what to do with it.
anyway i said i would post pics and here they are.

here is another shot of her. you can see where her toes fell off and are falling off from that evil place she used to live in.

she does have a very sweet face and personality. my sister wants me to take the half circle log and place it over her and snap a shot so it looks like she is a turtle! she is a nut and her children are the same way!
since she got her worm shot she has been a totally different lizard. i guess she was feeling bad. she runs around and she eats and eats. and it even looks like some parts of her are turning white, egad, could she be peeling soon?

Thats great the worms have been taken care of. Getting rid of them makes an enormous difference in any animal, as far as health.

The white, yeah sounds like she is beginning to shed.

Uro's are not fast shedders, LOL some here, some there, some in another place, .................. I usually let them soak in the tub in nice warm water, a few times while they shed.

Oh dont know if anyone has told you but whenever you do let her soak, always dry her tail well, the spines or inbetween the whirls, they can get tail rot, from it staying wet.

She looks good, you have been doing a Marvelous Job with her!

hey eve
thanks for the info no one told me about the tail. i will have to do that from now on. i certainly do not need to ADD to her problems. yeah her left side of her face is peeling. i am going to be watching her like a hawk since i need her skin to come off properly.

i took her to the vet again today to get her other shot and the vet said that she had gained 20 grams in the last two weeks! she said she needs to gain about 80 more grams to be a good weight and at the rate she has been eating i don't think that will be a problem.
she also said i could put her on sand because her toes looked ok for half way falling off. finally i can make her a real cage! she will be so excited.
