Want to save 1 egg...how?

petesgeckos Jun 19, 2003 08:04 PM

I don't usually post any questions, but I am stumped this time. I have 2 eggs that when I got them out of the egg laying box they were stuck together. So I put them in the incubator without seperating them. I noticed that one of the eggs is going bad. Should I cut the bad one off? Any other suggestions would help.

leave it unless it starts to cause problems. when cornsnake eggs are all stuck together, some are usually infertile, and i just leave them.

your head will collapse, but there's nothing in it, and you'll ask yourself, "where is my mind"

best thing to do is leave it alone unless it gets real bad and then starts to affect the other egg.

Thanks to both of you. I will leave it be and keep you posted on how it turns out. They are stripe rainwater albino eggs!

If you must seperate, drip just a little water(incubator temp) on the stuck part and it should loosen them. I've done this and the eggs survived fine..........
