I have read on this forum that some of you recommend ahsupply.com. For those of you who have bought retrofit kits can I have an opinion on how hard it is to set things up? Thanks.

It is very easy. They give you all the hardware and parts you will need. I installed a single 55 watt retrofit over my 25 gallon platned aquarium in 10 minutes flat. I buy all my lights there and I should be on some kind of frequent buyer program 
The thing I like best is how fast they ship; I always got my orders no more than 3 days after I placed them. Here are some pics of a few of my installs, if you need any tips, let me know.

i have the small dual bulb conversion for a 10 gal hood, very easy.
