Hi there. I was asking about some of the color varieties in another thread and someone gave me this link. They have the different Morphs listed, and when you click on it, it takes you to a page with a description of the morph, as well as avalible snakes of that morph, along with prices.
However, none are very cheap and some were $15,000
that is a ton of loot for a snake, and I couldn't believe it myself.
here is the link:

Right now the Pastel would be one of the cheapest to get into... but I think the market for the pastel is going to drop really bad soon... but that is just what I think... some people think it will stay up because of the new morphs coming out... but the prices for pastels is soon going to be even lower then ever... you can find some male pastels for about $800-$1200... about like last year... females are all around $2000... and I'm sure the females prices will stay at 2G for a while... but males will be alot cheaper...
Another morph would be the Hypo's the prices for these snakes use to be really cheap like 2G's for a pair... but since the new designer morphs came out the Ghosts prices have skyrocketed... males $800-$1200, and females $2000 just like the pastels I think the Ghost's will keep there prices longer than the Pastels...
And yet another morph... the Albino... Albinos are doing really good right now... alot of people are starting to produce there own but the demand is still out there... males and females go for about the same $2,000 - $2,500... hets go for about $900 a pair or $800 for a female...
Really the choice is up to you... the Pastels could make SuperPastels which are really nice eye candy... The Hypos are being crossed with alot of new morphs... and everyone loves a albino... so once again these are just the cheaper morphs... but time can only tell how good a morph is going to be...

You can get into male pastels....ghosts...at a resonable cost. You can pick up males for under $1000. Especially this year, you will get a good value on the pastel males.
On the second question you would have to check a variety of sites to get a cross representation of pricing.

i have seen pastels for 600.00 and 100% het for albino for as little as 100.00 and as much as 1000.00 for a 100% het pair. it depends what your looking for.remember a pastel is the most inexpensive morph and het combo.and key to other morphs as well, such as the super pastel.it is the only visible het. buy from someone you can trust,or buy pastel it is a great starter morph.
Actually, the pastel is not the only visible het. The het form of the leucistic is the Fire Ball, noticibly different than a normal. You can see pictures on Bob Clark's site. Of course, they run $40,000 for males and $60,000 for females. That's a ton of money for a het! Obviously not what the original poster was looking for, but a nice new morph none the less. I will agree with the others and say the pastel is the least expensive way to get into morphs. You can find breeder males for $2000 or less and then you can buy a few normal female adults and be ready to produce pastels right away.

There's more co-doms in the Ball world than there is single recessives!!
Don't forget Lesser Platties, Butters, Phantoms, Mojaves, Cinnamons, Red Axanthics, Spiders, etc etc. Those all have visible hets. Sometimes the het is the same as the homo (maybe spider, maybe mojave), but the hets are still visible.

I agree that there are more visible hets out there. I was only using the leucistic het as an example that the pastel is not the only visible het.

I was replying to the post that stated that Pastels were the only visible hets in the Ball world. Not your thread man. Your thread was good!

the original post asked clearly about the cheapest morph.i was not saying it is the only visible het out there but it is the only cheap visible het for most herpers. i told the person from the original post what they wanted to know. unless you have fireballs etc. cheap, thats not what they wanted to know. if the post said i have 50,000.00 to spend my reply would have been different. i thought the post was fine i gave exact info wanted, not a book of what to dream about just facts related to the original question. no b.s. just exact info of ? asked
