In the last few weeks I have been quite shocked by the number of eggs my henkeli have laid, and I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. I received the pair as fresh imports in December, and the first eggs the female laid for me were a pair of slugs laid in early February. Then there were no more eggs until 5/21, when she laid a good pair of eggs. This didn't surprise me, as I expected it to be several months between clutches. Then on 6/8, she threw another good clutch. Now a few minutes ago, I found a single egg at the root base of one of the plants in the vivarium, and it too looks fertile. I wasn't able to find the other egg of the clutch - doubtless it's buried deep somewhere in there. Do they really lay every 2-3 weeks like this? How many clutches do they usually throw per year? Thanks!
