Tell us what you keep besides boas..............

SNAKE26 Jun 21, 2004 11:57 PM

What other snakes/herps does everyone keep besides boas? Seems like a lot of boa people also keep corn snakes. Maybe because of the many variants, like boas. I'm a boa/corn keeper and also several turtles and tortoises.

Consists of a variety of Boa morphs, Argentine boas, a few pythons, a few cornsnakes, a bunch of Brazilian Rainbow boas(4.3), whites tree frogs, and a pair of pacman frogs. Oh, and a freezer full of rodents and rabbits...but they don't have much personality.....

I plan to continue to work with boa morphs, but I would also like to work with Blackheaded pythons, Womas, and locality true red-tails and insular bci.

Thanks for asking!

The boas are nice, but these guys are IT for me. I planned the breedings that brought them into the world and I was there when they took their first breaths. I have watched them grow into big, beautiful athletes. They are my friends. The one in front is Scooter. He is full of "it". He will run and play with you, just like a dog. The other one is Hallie, a filly. She is sweet, mellow and gentle.

Here's a quick pick of one of our colonies, representing the 4th generation of Weepers raised in our facilities. I thought I should tie this into snakes... little tale here. During the summer months we offer indoor/outdoor accomadations. If a monkey sees even the smallest garter snake wander(wandering garter, kind of a pun.. sorry about that) near their set-up they get very agitated. These South American natives have a natural fear of snakes, even if they have never seen one!
