I've noticed how pastels are priced based on their coloring, and you can get a B-grade pastel for considerably cheaper than a more aesthetically pleasing one. Can these B-grade pastels produce better looking pastel offspring?
Thanks,
Mark

Yes B-grade pastels can throw top notch A offspring and vice versa...But....With the way the pastel market is and having them sell on a graded basis it is more beneficial to have an A grade pastel...So when you are selling what you produce down the road usually pics of the parents will help make up an individuals mind on whether or not to purchase a pastel from you...So it is always in your favor to have the best quality animal that can be bought and is worth it, I think, to save that extra cash and put it towards a quality specimen...
Good point that I didn't think of. I currently have 1.3.1 balls and I think I'm ready to enter the morph market with a pastel. I agree in that I would spend the extra cash on the better looker, possibly going as far as purchasing one of the more popular lines of pastel.
Thanks for the input,
Mark
