substrate question

throatoyster Jun 22, 2004 09:37 AM

Can I keep adult leos on the calcium sand that claims to be digestable? I've been told that it will impact them when they're small, but what about when they're bigger?
Thanks

I will answer this question (using my personal experience as an example). I would say no because I had one of my adult females get impacted from the calcisand. From what I've heard you should used play sand instead. I personally use papertowel in all 20 of my leos cages. Hope this helps you some.

Any sand can impact a leo and if you are gunna use a calcium sand use vita-sand because it is much more fine grade.
