Eggs shriveling??

drdoolittle1 Jun 22, 2004 09:39 AM

My first clutch (new owner of 2 year old Leos) started shriveling after 3 weeks. Is this likely a humidity issue, sterility issue or something else?? 2nd clutch was laid 2 days ago. Have in Hovabator at 81 degrees. Sealed in moist vermiculite. I open container every few days to give air. Any suggestions, thoughts??

Have you tried to candle the eggs? Being a first clutch, they are probably infertile. Also try adding a little more moisture by draping a wet paper towel over the eggs for a few hours. They are probably infertile, but keep incubating them anyway.
