blackthroat behavior

ejaid Jun 22, 2004 11:07 AM

achilles sits in his cage and spends half the day trying to escape and the other half sleeping like clockwork. he sometimes opens his cage(i help him) and escapes and always likes to go in the bathroom and hide behind the toilet when i got sveral large heated mats around. he sits there forever i let him. i was curious why he likes cold so much better than warmth. even his soaks, he likes colder water vice hot water. he'll sit on cold concrete vice sitting on the rug in the sunlight. is this a seasonal thing or what? he is healthy but never seen this behavior before.

What are cage/enclosure temperatures? i.e ambient, basking, cool side. What type of substrate and hides are offered?
