Ornate Box turtle laid egg in water

CollardGuy Jun 22, 2004 11:29 AM

I don't know what to do with it. I want to hatch it out, but I do not know how to keep it. (Should it be buried in damp sand or do box turtles not do that?)

how long was the egg in the water... if more than something around 15 mins its probably dead... but if you caught it in time... didnt shake it or turn it in anyway there is a chance... just take an old butter tub and fill it with moss or sand and put the egg CAREFULLY inside and sit it on top of the refrig! within around 50 to 100 days it should hatch if fertile and of course alive! GOOD LUCK!
