Every time I walk by he strikes at me what can I do and will he stop. If I take him out he is nerves but has not yet bitten me.He is a baby about 24 inches long.

Well I'm not an expert, but I have handled alot of baby and adult boas, and I also have a baby burm. If your feeding him in his cage it may cause him to strike at you when reaching in or messing around by it. It really just sounds like he needs more handling though. Once it gets used to you it should calm down. If you wait though one of the pros should give some advice too.

Feeding outside the cage, even though it does help with temperment, is not something I would recommend. I started this way, when I had smaller snakes because It was what I was told. Then I adopted a 9' burm, and realized this was a huge mistake. I got to pull him out of his cage in feeding mode, and that is something that you never want to do again.

It is just a hatchling, im guessing because of size, and just give it some time. It will calm down. I had a 9 mo old 3 footer that I bought, and it took him about a month to settle down. Good Luck

Here maybe a stupid question but what do the numbers mean infront of your list of pets?

1.0 the first number in a set indicates the number of males, so this means one male.

The second number in a set, is females. 0.2 so that is two females.

And if there is a third number, that means it is unknown.

so for instance 5.2.8 means five males, two females, and eight unknown.

And its not a stupid quesition. I wondered for myself for a long time.
