Patti and I leave Friday afternoon for 2.5 weeks in Amazonian Peru.
We've got a number of folks (herpers, birders, botanists, entomologists) going down with us and we've scheduled stops at all 3 of the field stations administered by Project Amazonas/Margarita Tours. We go down at least twice, and sometimes 4 times a year. Once we leave Iquitos and head to the Rio Orosa, there is no electricity (except when the generators are running), no phones, no roads, no vehicles (except dugouts and canoes)-- nothing but herps and piece and quiet. When we return on 06 July I'll post some of the herp-highlights. Cheers/Dick
