Just wanted to share a picture of my burm (with yours truly).

He's just over ten feet now.

Thanks for looking!

Nice looking labby. Truely an awesome specimen. On a side not how do you like the vision cages you have there. I am going to be switching to prefab cages in the future and haven't decided between them or animal plastics. Todd

Def an awesome lab, real jealous. Phat setup you have there too. I ordered 4, 6x3 animal plastics cages about a month ago and they sure are takin there time to get them to me. I was going to go with visions but the shipping for only 3 was twice as much as animal plastics. Todd, I'll let you know how they are once they arrive in the next year.

Todd,

I have heard from but a few individuals who don't care for the Vision cages, mostly complaints of 'sagging'. I have all but eliminated that issue by mounting the cage on a stand with enough crossbars to support the cage - and the cages on top of it are on yet another tier (as you can probably see in the picture) to prevent them from caving in it's ceiling. All in all, I am very happy with the cage, most notably when it comes to cleaning time - which is made very easy in that waterproof, spillproof, chemical resistant, seamless, cage. And we all know how much of a huge mess burms can make!

My only reservation is with the larger of the two Vision cages I have, which seems to have a slight manufacturing defect in it (one of the sliding glass doors doesn't align completely flush to one side when it is closed - a minor flaw at most).

I'm not familiar with Animal Plastics cages, but I do have a cage from Cages by Design (also seen in the photo). I like it, but it is not seamless, like the Vision cages, so 'spills' become a bit more of an issue. Though, the visibility in the Cages by Design cage is huge compared to the relatively low visibility afforded by the glass doors on Vision cages. A matter of preference I guess.

One thing that may be worth noting is shipment of the cage. Being a single piece, shipping a vision cage is very expensive, especially so for the largest model (as I have). Modular cages, such as those by Cages by Design can be broken down to small packages - very good for shipping or when it comes time to move to a new home, etc.

So, I guess you have to weigh the options against what is most important to you. Hope this helps.
