Kids and Snakes here are the pics ....I hope

My 4 year old Daughter Carly loves snakes, unlike her Mother who despises them. I took my big old NJ Eastern King outside for a little sunshine and the kids were all over him. He is very gentle and tolerated them handling him and petting him. The highlight for the kids of course is when he decided to make a "deposit" on the lawn then of course they were more fascinated with that action and result than the snake itself lol . The other child in the pic is my 3 yr. old Niece Taryn who is unsure if she likes snakes but Im working on her

Keith, those are great picts and a beautiful king! It is a good display of their size then just a habitat pict. I used to have a large male Eastern that I would take to my kid's school. I made a point of withholding the meals prior to bringing him in to avoid the surprise when I was showing him. He obviously had other plans when I brought him to the 4th grade class! And then the next day I figured I was safe and brought him to my son's kindergarten class and he went all over the place again! Thanks for sharing the picts!

LOL thats my drainage hose. A few weeks ago we got a ton of rain and it ran into my basement because my freaking spouts didnt shoot the water out far enough from the house. Of course the water was running into my new snake room so hence the 20' snake in the grass. Im gonna bury it next week im tired of moving it when I mow lol

Nice looking family you have there Keith! My kids to like my snakes and when I bring them out they want to hold them as well. I am glad they are taking an interest in snakes. My 25" yearling cali king is very docile and can be held for an hour or so before he gets a little annoyed. They also like my 3'motley corn who is also a big baby. I actually just got her last weekend and the kids weren't to thrilled about it. They wanted me to get an albino king snake because he had ' girl colors',pink and yellow...lol..anyway when I went back to the pet shop they had already sold it. The corn is a 3 y.o adult female who has never been bred. I hope to breed her next year.

Funny though how my cali king is only a year old and already is 'almost' of equal length of my corn snake. The corn is a lot thicker but my cali king is growing FAST. I swear kings would eat every day if you were to permit it!
