Misty, my albino black rat, finally ate her pinky. I tried twice (unsucessfully) to get her to eat live pinkies I left in her hiding spots overnight. This morning I killed the pinky that she didn't eat, froze it, then thawed it out and "brained" it. When I held the pinky in front of her nose with tweezers, she started tounge flicking... then following it... then following it... then, instead of striking and constricting, she just swallowed it. LOL.

It took her like 30 seconds to swallow it, I bet she could eat 2 pinkies, easy. She's probably 20-22" long. I'm going to try and get her on a schedule of 2 pinkies every 5-6 days, I want her to get BIG!

I'm so happy, just wanted to share the good news.

maybe the breeder you got her from fed her thawed/frozen pinkies. I'd feed her one pinkie the first few times. If she can handle a pinkie several times, it sounds like you should bump her up to a pinkie just getting hair (small fuzzy). If you do that, check to see if the fuzzy makes a bulge or not in her body. A little bulge is O.K. A big bulge is not O.K. Good luck

Don't feed her TOO much, she'll get big anyway. Snakes that grow too fast don't live as long. But 2 pinkies should be ok.
