WC diamondback feeding????

I have a recently captured diamondback in a 4' enclosure. The snake is 3' long. I put a white )live) mouse in the cage and so far(45mins.) the snake has not eaten...is there a trick, should i wait longer to feed, get a smaller/younger snake to adapt to captivity??
