New Babies eating crickets

kokopelli Jun 23, 2004 12:12 AM

I have three new babies that hatched out a few days ago. It looks like they are going to be shedding tonight so they'll be ready to eat crickets soon. How many crickets should I give them? The crickets are 3 weeks old and about 1/3 ".

I usually feed my babies a full day after they shed, and then I give them 3 or 4 small crickets overnight. If they are all gone in the morning, I give them a few more each feeding until there is one or two left over. I have some that will only eat three everynight, and I have some that want eight, so it really depends on the age and personality of the leo. Using this method seems to work pretty well for getting their appitite steady and keeping up with their changing eating habits.
