New Collared

chinahause Jun 19, 2003 10:15 PM

Hey all. I am new to the whole Collared Lizard game. I just bought one and she seems to be getting along very well with my Rankins Dragon, no fighting or anything like that. She seems like she is pretty young, because she is small. The guy at the pet store was only able to tell me that she was young, that she was a she and not a he, and the she came from a good breeder or something like that. She doesn't have much coloring to her, kind of a light brown.and she has not distict spots or stripes, except for on her tail and a couple of orange stripes on her ribs and back. she seems healthy and lively but i was wondering if the lack of coloration is a problem. any suggestions?

The orange stripes are indicative of a gravid female, or a juvenile male of approx 3-6 months of age. Post some pics. The color is simply variable...some are nicely colored and some are not...all are unique in their own way.
