I have a Tegu that is about a foot long nose to AV. About a month ago it got a small cut about midway on it’s tail. When I noticed it, it had healed somewhat – it was not bleeding and didn’t look infected, but the cut was still noticeable. I have been using mild disinfectant (diluted betadine). It has since shed twice. It look like it is okay as far as not being infected or anything, however the cut is still there, causing a noticeable crook in the tail when looked it from the site. The animal is aggressive anyway so it is difficult to ascertain if the discomfort level, but it does seem to be sensitive to the area. Is there anything I need to do? Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks, Larry
