Possible Health Emergency

Noofle de blub Jun 23, 2004 08:13 PM

My friends Greek tortoise suddenly fell ill. Taking it to the vet in the morning. Just wanted to know how sensitive they are to chlorinated tap water. My friend soaked the tortoise in it for about a half hour. I think that's definitely why it's ill.

when you say ill, what do you mean. That is a pretty vague statement. And no I highly doubt that it would be chlorinated water. I have never treated my turtles water prior to use and I have had one of my for over 10 years.

Good thing you are taking it to the vet but if you want some opinions here. Recommend you post a description of hte symptoms and description of the setup, including, size, substrate, temps and the turtles age diet etc.
