Parisites in RES tank water (again)

Kivey03 Jun 23, 2004 08:31 PM

I seem to have a problem that nobody else has heard about. I have a 39 gallon tank with 2 small RES's. For the past 3months I've had a recurrent problem with some kind of parisite in the tank water. They are barely noticable till you get very close to the tank. You can see them crawling on the inside tank. They are almost transparent but the middle part of the body more visable. I clean the tank weekly. The RES's don't seem to be affected by them but they are bothersome to me cause I would like to know what they are. I have put many parisite cleaners in the tank but they don't work. The only thing that works is tho take the RES's out and pour bleach in the tank and then clean it out. They still come back withen weeks. Is this something my RES's are carrying in there systems? What and where is this coming from? Please help!!!

do they look like tiny tiny little like witish worms or mesqeeto larva but smaller and do they wiggle a lot?

yeah they look like that. The ones that are attached to the glass don't giggle but the ones that are swimming in the water wiggle a little but not as much as mesquito larvae. They are a little bit bigger than mesquito larvae too. have you had that problem too?
