I am aware that some of the people in this forum have helped me before with my questions, but I have never felt so unwelcome in any place in my entire life, in school I wasnt that popular and that is how my obsession with reptiles began, yet the majority of this forum or the "in crowd" are rude, and unhelpful to the people new to reptiles when asking questions. I do not mean to offend anyone, personally , or say that is how you act as a person, because I have never met anyone in this forum personally, so it would be unfair to assume that you are that way but as a online entity you seem to be that way

Hi Tony. Only a few people answer questions on this forum... and they may have thought you were looking for cage plans and they didn't have any for you. The question about your 12" guy being in a 55 gal. was probably just overlooked by the experienced person/people who saw it... seriously, this forum is pretty dead so don't take your questions not being answered personally at all.

Your boy should be good in the 55 gal. for a while.. it would be a good time to start building. I moved mine into their larger cages after they reached 14" (they were also in 55 gals.). I built a 4wx4hx2d with a plexiglass front for about $60 with pressure treated 2x2's and some type of 1/4" thick flooring material that was pre-cut into 2'x4' pieces (which works out perfect for a 4x4x2 cage w/minor trimming)... I don't remember what it's called right now.

The floor is sealed with silicone and painted over with waterproof, latex based porch paint.

Here's a photo of the cage I built... you could probably make it even cheaper with plywood, but it will be pretty heavy.
