White on the back of head? plz reply asap

my bp has a white lump on the back of his head...i noticed this when i went to feed him but he was in shed...what could this be? it is not a tick...i think its too big to be a mite...he does rub his head alot on the screen top could this be from that? like a piece of his skin is missing or something? im really worried and dont know what to do as he has a big attitude lol any replies are appreciated

Yes the bump could be a scab thats developing from rubbing of the head. Put some neosporin on it. Maybe someone can explain how you can stop the snake from rubbing the top.

Looks like he needs one of those lampshades they make for dogs. JK

Actually, I think there may be a problem with the husbandry. My python used to do that when I had him in an aquarium with a screen top but not to the point where there were any visible marks at all. I think if your snake is rubbing that hard it may be because he's looking for a better environment.
