After how long does candling eggs work?

My eggs were laid on 6/17/03 and I candled them tonight but didn't see any rednessveins or anything. Should they be visible right away or does it take a few days? Thanks in advance

Give it a few days.. the veins are a bit difficult to spot for a few days....
