I have a banded black/white cali king BUT the under belly of my snake is yellow. Does this mean my snake is het for banana phase? I am not all that familar with all the breeding termology yet so any information would be useful!! I am thinking about breeding him in another year or two once I have everything I need and feel I am knowledgable enough.

Banana Phase is not a recessive gene, therefor your cal king is not het for that. Cal kings come in wide range of black/brown and white/yellow and lots of in between (cream, etc..).

You can also find in cal kings with white, yellow, brown, and black on the same snake.
