ok to keep hot zone same temp day and night?

violentxuprising Jun 24, 2004 01:27 AM

hi, sorry but i have another question, i've left the thermostat running all day at 90, and it is now night time, and the hot zone is still at 90. i was wondering if it is ok if i leave the hot zone always at 90? or is a drop in temp necessary for the evenings for leos? the problem with lowering the hot zone for night time is that i either have to go and change the thermostat's setting every night to a lower power, and then every morning change it back to a higher setting, which i can easily slip up and turn something up way too high in the morning and not notice, the wheel is only the size of a nickel. or i would have to unplug the thermostat (w/the UTH) every night, and leave the tank to room temp, and then plug it back in every morning to heat up, which is also troublesome. so if its ok, i rather just leave the thermostat on one setting forever. thanks.

I leave mine the same all day and all night. That way my leos can regulate their temps as they choose.
