Golden Sedge Frog Diet

mrmuzik18 Jun 24, 2004 02:12 AM

Recently I bought this awesome orange tree frog at a reptile show. After searching Google, I found out that he is a Golden Sedge Frog. He must be nocturnal, because he spends the day huddled on a big leaf near the top of my vivarium, but at night he seems ready for action. I have tried to feed him some meal worms, but he doesnt seem interested, so I guessing they are too big for him. He is only about an inch and half long. Any suggestions on care for him and what to feed him? Thank everyone... Check this link to see a picture.

Who was the vendor that you bought this frog from? Most reed frogs (genus hyperolidae) consume small crickets as well as fruit flies, small wax worms, etc. Keep him in a planted terrarium with ltos of places to hide. About 75-80*F and around 65% humidity I believe. I have 2.2 Hyperolius argus and I spray them in the morning and at night, but half of their top is screen, so it can dry out.
