Are boas active snakes?

BennyD Jun 24, 2004 02:36 PM

That may sound like a stupid question since I know most boids are pretty sedentary, but do you boa owners find it fun to observe your boa in captivity? Do they move around a lot?

Mine move around a lot when it gets closer to feeding time.
Usually they move mostly at night.

Ill agree with Patrick on this one. My boas are active, usually after the sun goes down and Steve and I are home from our "real" jobs and in there cleaning and feeding and cleaning more thats when they are all out and about, on the weekends when we are home to observe them all day it seems that they will be mostly hidden away in there hides until about 6pm... Then they are roaming back and forward in their tanks looking for food or something to bite... They are awesome animals and great pets..

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind
