Australian Bell frog and White's tree frog

frogwatch Jun 24, 2004 04:54 PM

It is assumed that these two species co- exsist in the wild in Australia. Has anyone mixed these two species together in captivity in the same tank? if so have their been any problems?

Thanks,

Steve

yes they most likley coexist in the wild but there are always many potential problems mixing them. I would think it would be cooler to put up two seperate tanks for them individually. good luck

I agree with the above post, except if you have a very large enclosure (like a very large green house) and maybe pay a visit to australia so scope their natural habitat out for your self! that would be awsome (but of course who has the time or money to do that?)

I have both these species but i keep them in seperate tanks.

I have seen very large mixed enclosures of these two frogs and supringly enough they seem to get along well.

I was more shocked to see how large the golden bell frogs grew(as large as the white's).

So the answer is that they do co-exist and may do well together if you keep them in a large enough enclosure.
