Great looking Miami-phase!! You might want to stick a branch or two in there, mine love to climb.

Yeah I saw that. As soon as I put her in her tub she was climbing all over the place. She climbed up on the thermometer I have mounted in there and slid around the top of the cage. Gonna have to find something I can use for her to climb around. I like the plastic or stone things you can buy from the petstores cause they are so much easier to clean.

Nice corn..

Darin Chappell Jun 25, 2004 10:20 AM

That appears to be a very typically colored and patterned normal corn. Of course, the "Miami phase" is also a normal coloration (more or less), but it is characterized by a grey background color, with brick red saddles, surrounded by black outlines. What you have there doesn't meet that description from what I can see on my moniter.

I don't know who sold that to you as a Miami, but you might want to ask that person what makes your snake one. I'm not saying you were ripped off, or anything, because it is a nice looking cornsnake. But, you might want to clarify what you really have and why that's what it is.

Just a thought -- hope it helps!

I'm aware of what colors a normal Miami Phase is...but there are different morphs. The breeder I got this snake from has been a breeder for 10 yrs. There have been several other breeders along with where mine came from, that have said this is a Miami Phase. See the attached (link) .. that is also a MiamiPhase het crimson. It has the tan/brown and orange coloration just like mine.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying there, but it really doesn't matter, I guess. If you're happy with her and think she's a miami phase, then that's all that makes any difference in any real way.

Have fun with her!

I think what is meant is that just like okeetees, not all miamis look quite the same.
I have also seen snakes listed as Miami that look like hers.
Like the one she posted the link to at R. Z's site
