Sum quick double checking questions (sry if i'm becoming annoying)

funnyman527 Jun 24, 2004 08:22 PM

Ok, so i've bought a 55 gallon tank, and by the tim ei get it, my beardie will be atleast 1 foot in length.

1st question- is that an appropriet size to move him into at the length?

2nd question- will his 10 gallon tank be sufficient for housing until the 55 gal. arrives?

3rd question- is moving him from a 10 gal to a 55 gal. going to be stressful for him? ( i think it'll be a relief actually)

THX bunches for everyone's help and input!

** BTW if anyone has any cool ideas for cages (going to have a 55 gal.)that they'd like to share, I'd be very thankful for any suggestions.

move him to the fifty five gall when he is 12 inches. try to move him to it when he is around8 or 9 tho if it comes early.

Well as of now my BD is already 10 inches, and i KNOW for fact that the 55 gallon tank isnt coming until late july - early august (see, i bought it off my uncle, who has Jack-Dempsee *spelling?* fish and when they got too big he got them a 155 gallon tank, which is very bad-ass btw, and he's drivin it over when he visits from Cali... i live in AZ)
So until then, my BD is livin in a 10 gallon hope its not claustrophobic...

at 10" your ready to change now. they grow really fast at that age and you cannoy get a proper temp gradient in that size tank.

I'm abit hesitatn about that, wouldnt want any escape attempts.
I probably need to buy a reptile leash for him. Anyone opposed to those? Anyone know if they are potentially harmful to BD's?
