getting worried about my young pixie

he's been under the soil for almost months now...he looks just fine but when is he going to come back up???...temps are in the 80's and i mist the cage every morning

Where in the 80s??
If the temp is too high the frog will remain under the soil in an attempt to avoid temps that are too warm. Try keeping them in the mid 70s F.

Other than that try wetting down the substrate more.

low to mid 80's...i'll turn off the light and mist the cage down a little heavier and see what happens

I wouldn't get too overly worried. How old/big is he? Mine is around 8 months and 6-7 inches, and has buried itself for months at a time with no ill effects whatsoever. My temps remain in the mid 70's. They like to burrow. If he looks healthy, don't sweat it. He'll come back out eventually. Just check up on him from time to time, and keep fresh water in there too.

i turned off the heat lamp and soaked the soil real good...he's up and eating as we speak...thanks all
