I'd like this lizard to make it through the night - I have it in a box with a heating pad under part of it and for lack of anything else I have a tshirt in there so it can hide. I think it was supposed to be someones meal as it's pretty beat up - it lost an eye and has a bloody mouth and ear. I gave it some water, and have just been checking in to see if it's still living. Is there anything else I should do? I'm going to try to contact a wildlife rescue place in the am...

It is my guess from your discription that this lizards has been steped on. weather it be a person or animal that steped on it I dont know. Where did you find it? I would expect it would most likly be best to place it back were you found it and let it crawl off and die and posably feed another animal.
