mice smell

raffertyreptiles Jun 24, 2004 11:21 PM

ive recently started to try and breed mice secretly in my closet and am worried about the smell, does anyone know if adding baking soda, since it absorbs smells, to the bedding would be harmful

I have bred mice on a small scale, and the only way I have found to control smell is frequent substrate changes. Even then, the fact is mice smell. If smell is a problem it may be better (it sure is less time consuming) to order them frozen in bulk.
