I am just sharing this little happening tonight. I was trying to feed all the animals today and was running close to work so I had left 5 ft mice and 1 ft chick on a towel on the floor (I was using the chick to scent mice for a stubborn green anaconda who will sometimes work with me on this issue). Well...I forgot to close a ball python cage after feeding her only 1 ft mouse. The thing that made me realize the cage was open was there were only 2 ft mice left on the ground and the ft chick was gone. I found her in a dresser and she does look pretty thick. I just think it was off she ate 1 mouse and a chick instead of the 5 mice. I was tieing mice to chicks before to get the anaconda closer to rodents (that fight is still on) so maybe she was just trying to mimic her big sister boid lol.
