Where's the best place to measure humidity (where to place hygrometer)?

Away from the water dish mainly. If you put it above the water dish you won't get a proper reading. I usually put mine on the warm side of the tank because I keep the water dish on the cool side. I keep mine a few inches from the bottom of the tank right above my temp gauge.
