i have a ball that is approximately 2 months old. after i purchased him, i noticed that he seems to have an inch long dark line near his tail on the underside. looks like it could have been an open wound at one time that closed or could simply be a dark line part of the pattern. not sure, anyone with similar or any suggestions?

That is normal. It is where the egg yolk was attached to the snakes belly.
